Studio — Los Angeles, California
The Studio
Raum Studio is a Los Angeles-based interior design practice with projects reaching across the country and abroad. What began in 2023 as Paula Bruss Design has since grown into something larger: in 2026, the studio was renamed Raum Studio to reflect the collaborative team it has become.
The name carries its own history. Raum started as a gallery founded by Paula Bruss that same year, 2023, and its return as the studio's name reflects the same sensibility it's always carried — an eye for material, form, and detail at the center of the work.
Each project, whether a single room or a full residence, is approached with the same attention: spaces that feel warm, considered, and unmistakably personal to the people who live in them.
Paula Bruss
Born and raised in Germany, she moved to Los Angeles in 2015 and went on to complete her bachelor's degree in design and architecture in 2023, the same year she founded the studio. Her background shapes the way she approaches a room — with an outside eye, a close attention to proportion, and a preference for materials that hold up over time.
Caitlin Teoman
Caitlin holds degrees in both art history and design and architecture, a combination that shows up in how she approaches a project — as much about context and narrative as it is about space and form. Cat and Paula met in 2020 and began working together in 2024, and that collaboration has become central to how the studio operates today.
Mia Brown
Mia joined the team in 2025, and in a short time has become one of the people the studio relies on most — bringing a depth of skill and experience that goes well beyond her title. Her eye and hands-on support have quickly made her a core part of how Raum Studio's projects come together.
